Harlan County Chapter Meeting

We'll celebrate Spring, share some snacks, and talk about the Higher Ground 5: Find A Way play that preimered over the weekend.  So much good community building to keep up! There are also LOTS of events in east Kentucky to keep on our radars coming up in April and May. You'll also have the opportunity to nominate people to serve the next year on KFTC's Executive Committee and the KY Coalition Board.

Then for those who are interested, at 7:00 p.m. we'll hear from Eric Dixon and Kendall Bilbrey, two Appalachian Transition Fellows researching ways Abandoned Mine Lands funds could be used to help economic development in mine-affected regions, including how these plans are part of the White House's POWER+ plan and could be used within Kentucky's SOAR initiative. After they share what they've learned, we'll have a short discussion about what ideas what the presentation sparked and some possible next steps.
