My Story, Our Power: How to Create a Story of Self and Build People Power

Each of us have a story to tell that reveals why we care about the social justice issues we are compelled to work on. Stories may come from personal experience, witnessing a loved one’s experience, or simply understanding that fairness is better for all of us. Although it is not a requirement to craft a personal story, it is very useful for connecting to others and for taking direct action on an issue. Stories can be used for speeches, writing letters, or just talking with others about an issue. Combining our stories into one collective story builds power that will help us to make social change. Join us in crafting our stories and learning about how to use our stories in our work toward fairness for everyone.
