Powerbuilding with the Kentucky Poor People's Campaign | Kentuckians For The Commonwealth

Powerbuilding with the Kentucky Poor People's Campaign

These is much to celebrate from the last year. From a public poor people’s hearing in Lexington last November to a meeting with our governor in February. From the streets of Western Kentucky where the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival hosted a Truth and Poverty Tour to the halls of Congress where a group of Kentuckians participated in a nationwide Moral Congress this summer. Folks rolled up their sleeves and spoke truth to power, shifting the moral narrative all across our state.

But as Sweet Honey in the Rock sings, “We who believe in freedom cannot rest until it comes.”

At this gathering we will lift up the accomplishments of the past year and their impact on our state, and look forward and build power for the work that lies ahead of us?

Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP here so there will be plenty of food!
