Euchre For Justice Success!

The Northern Kentucky chapter recently held a euchre tournament at Pike Street Lounge to help raise money for the work we are doing. The event featured 12 contestants, each of whom paid ten dollars to join in on the action. Half of the entry fee went into the pot, and the other half went towards earnings. Added incentives in play helped increase the prize and money raised, and helped spice up the play.

Several of the participants were new to KFTC, one of whom only discovered the event from a flyer in a Starbucks. Others used the event as a great chance to give more than they normally would to KFTC, with the 2nd place competitor deciding to donater her winnings to support KFTC.

The event raised over $130 for the chapter, and they are looking forward to doing it again! Hosts Bonnie and Katie Meyer, who own Pike Street Lounge, are hopeful that we can raise even more next time, and are tentatively looking at a December date for the next tournament.
