2014 Primary Election: Central Kentucky Gets Out the Vote!

The primary election is on Tuesday, May 20th and the Central Kentucky Chapter of Kentuckians For The Commonwealth is getting out the vote. And, you can get involved!Hilary Crookston registering voters

KFTC has done an amazing job with candidate surveys for the 2014 Primary and the Central Kentucky chapter worked hard to develop questions for local candidates based upon local issues we all care about, such as affordable housing, homelessness, diversity, and the environment, among others. We sent surveys out to the candidates so that we can communicate their answers out far and wide and they're now online at KentuckyElection.org There are also links to candidate sites, voting location information, and more.  So please share this link with people you know.

We have also sent a mass mailing to voters, plus phone banks, and social media work to reach thousands of voters and help them cast an informed vote. Also, members worked hard to register dozens of voters before the voter registration deadline passed on April 21st, including registering voters at the community’s largest Easter Egg Hunt!

For KFTC members and friends who live in Central Kentucky, you can get involved in some of our upcoming phonebanks:

Phone Banks - Sunday, May 18th from 3 – 6 p.m. and on the evening before the election on Monday, May 19th from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  We'll be calling from the Central Kentucky KFTC Office at 250 Plaza Dr. Lexington, KY 40503.

Jenny Schnurr, Tayna Fogle, Greg Capillo, Sarah Martin, Tom Parsons

Also, we will be giving rides to the polls on election day so if you or someone you know needs a ride to the polls, give us a call at the CKY KFTC office at 859-276-0563.
