Question 1:

What is your vision for strengthening civic participation in Boone County? How will our county be better in four years if you are elected?

I have come to see that we are failing our students in Civics education.  I plan to use my position as County Clerk to improve, in a non-partisan way, the civic engagement of our students and citizens. At the end of my term I would like to see a significant increase in voter turnout and registration by engaging directly with the community.

Question 1:

What is your vision for strengthening civic participation in Boone County? How will our county be better in four years if you are elected?

Boone County will be better in four years if I am elected because I will increase voter turnout, continue to make customer service a top priority and strive make it even better, have a financially streamlined office/budget, have complete transparency with finance and have safe and fair elections.

I have been modernizing the office with new technology and will continue to do so. We are already a top notch office and will continue everyday to stay on top and to be the best County Clerk's office in the Commonwealth.

Frequent, transparent communication is the key. Kenny Brown was very good at it, and it has dropped off in the months since his unfortunate passing. It needs to be restored first, then increased.
