An ordinance filed in September to raise Louisville's minimum wage to $10.10 an hour is very close to securing the 14 votes needed to pass a full vote of the Louisville Metro Council! But there is still work to be done. Both Metro Council Members and Mayor Fischer have said that they want to hear from their constituents. Your voice is crucial to getting the sponsors and the votes to pass this important legislation.
This is a big election year in Kentucky – with millions of dollars from outside the state trying to influence the outcomes and the eyes of the nation waiting for the results.
As Kentuckians, we have the opportunity to vote for candidates in a wide range of federal, state and local races on November 4. The outcomes will affect much that happens in our communities, state, nation and world in the years ahead.
